Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with some highlights and a few drawbacks. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was satisfactory, and the location was convenient for golf enthusiasts. However, the dining options were limited, and the facilities could do with some improvements.
The hotel is situated within a golf club offering a convenient location in the town center but in serious need of a complete refurbishment particularly in the clubhouse. The rooms lacked an armchair or sofa but had a good shower setup. The dining options included Indonesian food, catering to our needs. Although the service included a welcome drink and assistance with tours/tickets, it fell short of expectations. Despite the subpar facilities, the reasonable price made up for some of the drawbacks.
The hotel is nestled in a serene golf club setting where you can enjoy a quiet stay surrounded by nature in the Forest of Dean. The rooms are cozy and come with a comfortable bed and a balcony for a relaxing retreat. The welcoming service includes a refreshing drink on arrival and assistance with tours and tickets. However, the dining experience may be lacking in variety, offering mostly cold buffet dishes. The location within the golf club provides a unique atmosphere, but the separate clubhouse across the carpark might not be ideal for those seeking convenience. Overall, it offers good value for a peaceful getaway in a picturesque setting.
